Briggs & Stratton 796584-KIT

This kit includes all Genuine Briggs & Stratton OEM parts needed to replace a head gasket in many Briggs & Stratton Intek single-cylinder 31 and 33 series engines.

Please verify your engine model number before ordering, as several different head gaskets were used on Intek single-cylinder engines.

A blown head gasket is a common cause of engines that produce blue or white exhaust smoke. This kit includes the components most commonly replaced when performing this repair.

Common Symptoms This Kit Fixes

Fuel Pump Operation

• A faulty fuel pump can fill the crankcase with fuel, which may also cause white smoke. Symptoms of a failing fuel pump include:

• • Strong gasoline smell in the engine oil

  • Thin engine oil

  • Engine oil level overfilled

Failure to verify these conditions may lead to an incorrect diagnosis.
